Description
Overview:
Our client is a multi-national manufacturer and distributor of mechanical equipment. To support their Regional Market Organizations, new HR positions have been created in CA, NJ and IL to help ensure the companys business success through the translation of its business strategy and objectives into HR initiatives and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Reports to GM Market Organization and (indirect) to Sr. HR Director
- Designs and aligns HR initiatives with business strategy and objectives
- Participates in the development of business planning and initiatives
- Works across business functions, HR teams and organization levels to deliver value added solutions
- Manages workforce planning, organizational and leadership assessments
- Updates Management team on overall progress of people and organizational development
- Acts as HR consultant to line management
- Participates in and contributes to the Source & Select, Develop and Coach as well as the Reward and Recognition Processes.
- One Recruiter Direct Report
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources or related fields required
- Masters Degree desirable (MBA, MSHRM, PHR or SPHR)
- 5 - 7 years experience in HR and 2 - 3 years in Line Management
- Knowledge and experience in people processes and tools, including strategic workforce planning, recruiting, succession planning, benefit and reward management, job grading, change management, training and learning, compensation, labor legislation, etc.
- Strong customer and business orientation
- Ability to connect business needs with HR processes and priorities
- Record of achieving outstanding results
- Project management experience and excellent communication and negotiating skills
- Relocation within the US in 18-24 months is a must; openness to international relocation desirable.
